I love the colors in Fairy Flora and got a good start on the wing but I had to take a break from it because working with Kreinik Blending Filament is like a nightmare, it frays about half way through a strand everytime. These wings have a lot of blending filament so I will have to pace myself on it. I like the way it is looking though.
In the meantime...
I started another beautiful Mirabilia. Can you guess which one this is? That's right, it's South Seas Mermaid and she has a lot of colorful fibers and embellishments to make this project so much fun.
Both of these are on Silkweaver opalescent fabrics.

Fairy's wings look fabulous. I know what you mean about kreinik. They try my patience too! I can't even beging to guess your new Mira... I'm horrible with names. I recognize her though and I think she's a mermie.
Nice start on South Seas ;-)
I followed TW's recommendations here http://www.twdesignworks.com/Resources/Tips/misc.html and decided using just with filament, without the heavier support thread, at the same time as the floss works the best for me. I tend to cut shorter strands than normal because the filament still likes to break but I seem to get the cleanest stitches. I didn't like going over the crosses later with just the filament for two reasons, I never want to stitch anything twice and I find it too sparkley. I think mixing it with the floss keeps it more subtle. Hope that helps and I am enjoying watching your progress.
